Road trip!

On Wednesday we decided that we would drive to Nashville on Thursday. Google maps will tell you that it is an 11 hour and 15 min drive to take the route that avoids the Bonaroo traffic and we were out the door by 12:40 on Thursday. After two traffic-stopping accidents and one conference call, we made it to Nashville in just over 15 hours, arriving mid-morning on Friday, and it was completely worth the trip. We got to visit with Joy and Dan, Todd, Rebekah and their three girls, Eric's Grandma, and Eric's aunt and uncle Jim and Mary (for one night only), though from the pictures you would think we only spent time with Dan. We all had a great time and the boys enjoyed seeing their cousins and getting to swim in a really big pool. Emerson did have one misadventure with a large hill of biting ants that resulted in ~50 ant bites on his right foot and ankle but some quick first aid from Grandma and Joy had him good as new in no time.
