Children's Museum, one year later

The first time we went to the Children's Museum was on our very first trip to Tampa. Here's Emerson one year later enjoying the various fun activities on offer there. Afterwards, we walked one block to have lunch with Eric and some colleagues. .

Camping

We headed down to Fort Desoto for three days and two nights of camping and beach. Here's a few highlights:
If you look closely you can see Eric holding Emerson up over the water so he could get a better look at the fish.
Emerson was the happiest, sandiest and cutest kid at the beach (tied with his younger brother for cutest, of course)

Ethan enjoyed the beach as well.
Here's our campsite:
And the sunset from our campsite
There is still a fort at Fort Desoto. On a break from the beach we checked out the cannons and learned a little about the history of the fort.
The trip was a huge success with lots of memorable moments. I can't wait for our next camping adventure!

Picking blueberries with Lucy

Yesterday we went blueberry picking with Dianna and Lucy. It was not quite what we had expected in terms of setting (it was sort of like a large yard next to what might have been a meth lab trailer) but the guy was very nice and the blueberries were good, if more on the tart side. Lucy and Emerson could have cared less about all of that, of course. They each ate their weight in blueberries directly off the bushes and were greatly entertained by the bugs, sticks and hoses to be found around the yard.

Thanks to Dianna for these adorable photos of the kids. The blueberries are ours - about a pound and a half.

Celebrating Andrew's graduation

Thank you Dad for these photos from Andrew's graduation day. The ones that look like they are taken in a high school gym were actually taken in the room Hannibal Lector is kept in during Silence of the Lambs. Emerson, like his mother, was very enthusiastic about the many slices of cake available at the graduation's reception.
