For a boy who loves balls

I think this is officially heaven.

Florida fun

We had a great time in Orlando seeing Brett and Dianna and their little Lucy, along with Bill, Mary Lou, Katie and Matt. Emerson LOVED the kiddie pool and was happy to dine pool-side with cousin Lucy.
Bath time was great fun, including lots of bubbles and new toys.

And the next morning we even had time to play at the playground before leaving. Thanks all for a great visit!

Annual trip to Lancaster

We had a great trip to Lancaster to visit with Muz, Barbara, Penney, Jane and Andrew who stopped through on his way to Lima via Chicago. Emerson tried to take apart as much of Muz's living room as possible, which led us to some fun play in the backyard.

And of course we couldn't leave Lancaster without Emerson's first lesson in My Word, a favorite word game of ours.

Fish Face

S.F. Zoo

Ellie is traveling for a couple days for work, so Emerson and I (Eric) spent the afternoon at the zoo with a friend of mine, Andres, and his 1.5 yr old son, William. It was a perfect day to be there with the sun shining and temperatures in the 70s.

The highlight for Emerson and William was the petting zoo, where they were free to roam and interact with the animals.

Emerson was dubious of the goats.


And the sheep.


But not the ducks! He tried a couple times to jump into the pond.


Although he enjoyed riding the tractor, his aversion to the animals makes me think that he's much more likely to become an orange farmer than anything having to do with livestock.
