Emerson and Scout at Velvet Cantina

We went out for Mexican food with Sarah, Rob and Scout last night and had the misfortune to sit next to a group of 16 men, each talking louder than the next to hear one another. It was quite an unholy din.

At one point, Eric was holding Emerson so that he was standing on his legs and kind of wiggling and wobbling. The white t-shirt-clad fellow in the background of this photo, which is not good of any of the people in it, noticed him.

"That baby's dancing!" he exclaimed and starting doing a groovy little dance himself in his chair, snapping his fingers. Several of the people around him, reacting almost from sheer reflex, started dancing in their chairs and snapping too.

It was a nice little moment.

A tale of two babies

We had dinner tonight at Goat Hill Pizza with Sarah, Rob and Scout. Afterwards we came to our place so Eric and Rob could watch the end of the Sharks game and Sarah and I could watch our babies.
These are our children. Scout did not find the photo shoot pleasing, while Emerson just did his best Jabba the Hut impression.

Emerson makes a friend

Sarah brought Scout over to visit yesterday. Scout slept most of the time she was here like a good baby, so she may not be aware that she has made a new friend. Emerson, who in contrast was up and in need of entertainment the whole time, got an up close intro courtesy of Pa before she left.

And this is just a bonus picture of Emerson hanging out in his diaper because his parents still often don't put clothes on him.
