Emerson sees the Bolts

One of the Lightning's two 5pm games was yesterday and Eric took Emerson to check it out. They must realize that this is a particularly kid-heavy game so they had lots of extra amusements for them including balloon animals, hence Emerson's epic balloon dog hat. The hot dog vendor offered to trade Emerson the hat for a hot dog but Emerson was having none of that. There was also free cotton candy, free popcorn and all the 'muppets' (mascots) did a dance on the steps outside the arena. Emerson had a blast and - perhaps most amazingly - the Lightning managed to win the game. Success all around!

Meanwhile, Ethan and I enjoyed going out to dinner together and Ethan was especially thrilled about getting to order a chocolate milk. At least at age 4, Ethan will take chocolate milk over ice hockey any day.
