We spent three days in Everglades National Park with Go Joy and Grandpa who were down from Tennessee for a visit. Our time together included a boat ride through the Ten Thousand Islands, a tram ride through Shark Valley (yes, a valley in Florida, though you wouldn't know it to see it), and even an encounter with an enormous rattlesnake on a short nature trail next to a children's exhibit. Happily, we were able to extract ourselves without incident. The photos from 'elevation' are taken from the observation tower at the mid-point of the tram ride. We enjoyed seeing lots of wildlife and getting a taste of Everglades culture (though only Grandpa actually ate gator), but I think the kids will probably mostly remember playing Uno with Go Joy and Grandpa.
