Since he was born, my mother has been telling me: "One day you'll walk into his room and he'll be standing up in his crib."
Yep.
Huge thank you to my aunt Barbara and Jenny, Fred, Sarah-Louise, Will and Hunter who gave us this crib. Emerson loves it and sleeps very well in it. What a gift!
Emerson has made some leaps and bounds this week in the world of, well, leaps and bounds.
For starters, he is now sitting up with no hands. This is important because it enables him to put things in his mouth while sitting.
For a few weeks now he has been "crawling" and now I feel we can confidently take the quotation marks away (though this video is from right before we were ready to take away the quotations marks). Here Emerson hustles across the kitchen floor in order to make out with a paper grocery bag he apparently feels strongly about.
Not one to rest on his laurels, Emerson has gone straight to pulling himself up to standing and climbing up everything in sight. I haven't managed to capture this on film yet because he kind of needs a spotter while working on his new tricks.
