Emerson started mixed-age kindergarten on Wednesday. Here he is ready to start the day!

Ethan rocks out to the beats of a toy electronic drum while we wait for Emerson to be done with his music class. As far as I know he has not been learning the Electric Slide at pre-school but this makes me wonder.

Weekend at Sand Key

We had a wonderful weekend at the beach on Sand Key. We had a great time swimming (the boys wore life jackets in the surf (thanks Mykael!) and loved bobbing around), saw more sting rays than I would have liked but nobody got stung, and Eric took Emerson to play his first 18 holes of mini-golf. Emerson, also known as The Natural, had not one but two holes in one. Needless to say, he loved it.

Camping

We did a short camping trip over the weekend at Lake Manatee State Park. Here are the boys doing a little fishing off the dock. The fish weren't biting but we had fun anyway. Other highlights of the trip included a campfire complete with roasting marshmallows, sleeping in a tent and swimming in a lake (the alligators stayed away). Can't wait to go again soon!
