Dinosaur World

The last time we went to Dinosaur World, I gave birth to Ethan that night. Ethan is just a few weeks older than Emerson was on that trip, so it was clearly time to go check it out again. Here are a few highlights from our time there. One highlight not pictured: Emerson, on his first ever play of the grabber machine (the one where you move the joystick to pick up a stuffed animal from a pile, and then the grabber weakly pretends like it will pick one up but then it drops it and you get nothing), actually WON a yellow dinosaur. Eric and I both played as well but did not walk away with a toy, which confused Emerson as his understanding of the game, based on experience, is that you do it to get the toy. The last time we were there, I won a purple dinosaur in the same machine and took it as a good omen for the upcoming birth. (Aha! Perhaps that's where Ethan gets his godzilla tendencies?)

Pre-bedtime dance party

We do this pretty much every night. As usual, when I tried to video tape it that became a distraction but you can still see some of the boys' sweet moves.

Minor League Baseball - Dunedin Blue Jays

We went to see a local minor league baseball game and it was just the right speed for the boys. Emerson loved that he could sit in the front row and get an up close sense of the action. He was full of questions: How many strikes are there? When will they hit a foul ball to us? Why is that batter wearing a necklace? (Yes, this is all within earshot of the players.) Eric did his best to answer all the questions. Ethan was in more of an exploring mode: he and I checked out every staircase and walkway and sat in each of the seats in the stadium (that weren't already occupied). When we left at the beginning of the seventh inning the Blue Jays were winning 16 to 1 and we were feeling like winners too.
