Family outing to Brooker Creek

We did a family outing to Brooker Creek Preserve, this time on a day when the Nature Center is actually open. They have great exhibits and the kids enjoyed pressing buttons to hear bird calls and crawling through the giant tortoise's burrow.

Visit from Uncle Dude and Brin

We had a great time with Uncle Dude and Brin, with the help of a giant puzzle from G-Pa and G-Ma. Aunt Barbara joined us on the last day of Andrew and Brin's visit, and stayed a few more days during which we apparently forgot to take any photos at all. But it was a wonderful visit!

Emerson flies a kite

One highlight from the beach trip: Emerson got to fly a kite for the first time. He loved seeing it go up up up and then watching what it did as he moved his hand around, making it jump and dance in the sky. The weather was dubious but did include lots of wind, so that was fortunate.

Fort Morgan for the Fourth of July

We bravely hopped in the car this past week for another test of just how much Raffi a human being can listen to before intentionally driving into the woods at the side of the road. This time we headed up eight hours through the panhandle into Alabama on our way to meet Eric's brother, sister and cousin and all the associated spouses and children for a Fourth of July Beach Vacation. It was a great trip! Here is a selection of photos from the week.
