At a park in Orlando

We met Dianna and Lucy at a park in Orlando and then went for a delicious lunch. It was great fun! Yhis is the only photo from our outing.

Bouncy house extravaganza

Yesterday was the 2 year birthday party of two of Emerson's little buds here, Cooper and Ryan. The party was at an indoor bounce house place not too far from our house. Where we live, you might think that it is not possible for a child to get from one age to the next without the requisite bouncy house; the local parks are booked solid every weekend with birthday parties featuring giant inflatable fun.

This was our first venture into the land of bouncing birthday fun. Emerson had a blast running and jumping and bouncing with all his little friends. Here's Eric and Emerson enjoying cruising down a slide (after thinking about it for 18 seconds).

Ethan is 4 months old

Ethan is 4 months old, nearly 27 inches and 17 lbs and 12.5 oz. Contrary to how it appears in the photo, his thighs are not larger than his head, but it is safe to say he is not a petite child.

He is starting to grow a little hair and his head is extra soft and fuzzy. He is fully in the sucking-on-hands-and-drooling-everywhere-all-the-time phase and I should probably have him in a bib all day long but I just don't want him to be one of those babies who wears a bib all day. It just isn't right.

Emerson is getting even more interested in Ethan and will bring him a toy when he is fussing or tell me to feed him if he is acting hungry. He is shaping up to be a very attentive big brother.

A visit from some cousins

Eric's cousin Nate visited over April Fools day weekend with his wife Christa and their children Kendall, 6, and Garrett, 2. Here is the best photo we managed to get of the four little ones (with Christa in there to stop Garrett from running off). I believe Ethan is the only one actually looking at the camera.

It was fun for me to meet Eric's cousins and Emerson loved having the other kids around to play and swim with. They live a short 8 hour drive away on the Gulf Coast of Alabama so I am sure this will not be the kids' last opportunity to run around together.

Emerson and the Easter Bunny

Emerson and his friend Cooper had fun meeting the (kind of scary) Easter Bunny and doing other Easter fun activities last Friday at an event at a local school.
